Manawaru Guided Adventures is a small family business nestled in the heart of Te Urewera. Based in Ruatahuna, we provide unique experiences combining horse trekking, meat hunting, fishing and authentic Tūhoe culture. We offer access to both private and public land within the upper Whakatāne River catchment. This beautiful country can only be accessed on foot, horseback or helicopter and offers a variety of game species from Red and Rusa deer to Pigs and Trout. It is important to note that although there are good animal numbers and trophy potential, this is not a farm, all animals are free range and nothing is guaranteed except an adventure.
